“Shudder…  SHUDDER” The mere thought of trying to sell a home during the holiday season.  I think I rather stick a needle in my eye.  The pain.  The agony.  BUT is it worth it?

The great news about listing your home in the Halifax market now, will only bring you showings of people that are serious about purchasing.  Think about it.  Who really wants to take time away from the festivities just to meander at house? Serious Buyers.  That is who.

When you are prepping for showings during the holiday season, the visual and the emotional connections it can give to buyers is phenomenal.  Create an atmosphere that the buyer can see themselves in your home.  I know we talk about decluttering, if you can avoid over decorating.  Keep the smells to a minimum.  If you are looking for that holiday smell, I get these pine sticks from a local craft store and the house smells like Christmas.  I just LOVE that smell of the outdoors.

My only caution, I guess a real big one is about keeping valuables safely locked up.  Never take things to chance.
